Terms & Conditions For Walkathon
- In recognition of the risk of injury while participating in the Walkathon Event and as consideration for the right to participate, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns or personal representatives knowingly and voluntarily enter into this wavier and release of liability and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participation in the Event and do hereby release and forever discharge the event organisers and their employees, its affiliates and the event site and its agents (collectively the Host) from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, actions or causes of action now existing or which hereinafter may arise as a result of my participation in the Event, whether any injury is caused by the negligence of the Hosts, the negligence of myself or third parties, the conditions of the course or any other cause.
- I know that the Event is a physically constraining activity and I assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risk being known and appreciated by me. I further attest that I am physically fit and medically able to participate in the Event.
- I recognise that various photographs, video recordings and other media will be taken during the Event. I agree to grant the Hosts full permission to use my name, any photographs, video recordings, or other media of the event that contain my likeness for the purpose of promoting LuLu or the Event or for any purpose deemed appropriate by the Host.
- I understand that the Host reserves the right to reject any entry and further reserves the right to change the details of the above referenced Event without prior notice
- I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Hosts against any and all claims, suits or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney fees, if litigation arises on account of claims made by me or anyone on my behalf.
- If the Event is cancelled for any reason including reasons beyond the will of the Host the participant will have nothing to claim from the Host and that the enrolment for the Event is valid as a wavier of any claim for financial damages already suffered in the future.
- The participant by signing this document consents to the Host that the data collected for the registration of the Event may be used for marketing purposes namely communication for market research, communication for sharing commercial information on products and promotional initiatives. Such communications shall be made by postal mail, e-mail, telemarketing, SMS and MMS. At any time, the participant can modify previously delivered consents and/or change the status of active services and request additional ones. The provision of data is optional expects for the mandatory data required for registration. The participant has the right to update, supplement, correct or delete the data and even request blocking of data.
- The Host reserves the right to modify these rules at any time for reasons it deems appropriate for a better organization of the Event. This document shall be governed by the laws of UAE and the competent courts of Dubai will have jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of this document.
- By registering for the Walkathon Event, we automatically enrol you in the LuLu Hypermarket Loyalty Program, Happiness.
In the case of a minor participant, the undersigned parent or legal guardian acknowledges that he/she is not only signing this document on his/her behalf, but that he/she is also signing on behalf of the minor and that the minor shall be bound by all the terms of this document. Additionally, by signing this document as the parent or legal guardian of a minor, the parent or legal guardian understands that he/she is also waiving rights on behalf of the minor that the minor otherwise may have. The undersigned parent or legal guardian agrees that, but for the foregoing, the minor would not be permitted to participate in the Event. By signing this document without a parent or legal guardian’s signature, participant, under penalty of fraud, represents that he/she is at least 18 years of age. If signing as the parent or guardian of a minor participant, signing adults represent that they are a legal parent or guardian of the minor participant.
