Give A Glitzy Welcome To EidBack
Eid is almost here. This is the right occasion to invite your friends and relatives home for a get-together. At the same time, it also means that the house needs to be decorated well to make the celebration perfect. Here is a quick DIY project which can be made in no time. Most of the supplies are easily available at home and rest can be procured at a very reasonable price from the market. Check the list of the products, take out a few hours and you will be ready with a festive art to flaunt.
- Aluminum Foil
- Hot glue gun
- Cloth towel
- Shoe polish
Take the cardboard and place it on a plain surface. Now by using the Sharpie, draw out the letters E, I and D on the cardboard.
With the help of a xacto knife, carefully cut out the letters.
Draw a swirl design and add some dots along the way.
Go over the dark lines with hot glue. Let dry for a few hours.
Place foil, dull side up, over letter. Cut diagonally inwards at corners of foil to make the folds easier. Fold over one side to hold it in place.
Rub the foil with the towel. Don’t use your finger, it might tear the foil. Fold over the rest of the sides.
Rub brown shoe polish over the bumps.
Add a layer of Mod Podge to seal the shoe polish.
Cut a few extra strips of extra cardboard.
Glue them to the back of your letters to make them stand. You may find that you need two stands behind the larger letters.
Your letters are done and ready to be placed on a shelf in your home.
